Con el propósito de promover la investigación y la formación de investigadores sobre las memorias de la represión política en el Cono Sur. El programa fue diseñado para encarar tres cuestiones diferentes, aunque relacionadas entre sí. La primera es la necesidad de generar avances teóricos y de investigación. La segunda es promover el desarrollo de una nueva generación de investigadores con formación. La tercera es la creación de una red de intelectuales públicos de la región preocupados por el estudio de la memoria societal y temas relacionados con ella.

These papers are centered on the Crown of Aragon in the later Middle Ages, its achievements (the more remarkable given the very evident problems with which it was beset), and especially on its role in the Mediterranean. Hence the emphasis on Majorca, its leading intellectual figure, Ramon Lull (1232-1316), and his influence, and related to these the article on Thomas Aquinas. Esta edición de sesenta y nueve cartas inéditas conservadas en el Archivo General de Simancas, la Biblioteca Nacional de España y la Real Biblioteca de Madrid permite arrojar nueva luz sobre los vínculos y conflictos de la aristocracia y el alto clero de la isla de Cerdeña con las cortes de Carlos V y Felipe II. Esta correspondencia, intercambiada entre Jerónimo de Aragall, Antioco Bellit, Jaime Montanyans, Antoine Perrenot de Granvelle y otros destacados personajes de mediados del siglo XVI, comprende el periodo entre 1541 y 1570.
