A partir del exitoso concurso multimedia homónimo, el Aula de Patrimonio Cultural de la Universidad de Cantabria ha pretendido acercar al gran público las diez «joyas» fotográficas finalistas mediante la elaboración, por parte de su autora, doctora en Historia del Arte, de breves y sencillos textos en los que se analiza cada una de ellas. Incluyen una sucinta bibliografía en donde se han reseñado algunas de las obras más relevantes que han abordado el estudio de cada una de estas joyas cántabras.
