¿Es Dios un extraño en nuestra casa? ¿Podemos abrigar todavía la esperanza, aunque sea crucificada, de una presencia del Señor que impregne todos los lugares humanos de nuestra casa, todas las encrucijadas de nuestra humanidad? Hacerle un espacio mayor a Dios en nuestra vida es un imperativo del exilio en el que vivimos. Como el pueblo de la Biblia en su exilio babilónico, tampoco nosotros tenemos templo, ni ley, ni sacerdocio en esta sociedad en donde se ha intentado extirpar la redención curativa de nuestro Dios. Solo tenemos un pan roto que se comparte, un vino nuevo que nos comunica la Vida abundante, la verdadera. En este sentido, hemos de movilizar más los resortes de una fe que ha de vivir en el exilio. Y necesitamos recurrir a una exploración interior más cuidadosa y atenta de los movimientos del corazón. Si la experiencia espiritual de la fe no alcanza a tocar los repliegues del alma, algo está fallando en nuestra evangelización.
