How much importance do we give to the settings in which we live, sleep and relax when we go travelling? Nowadays travel usually means spending time in hotels, and these establishments have set about specializing in order to satisfy the varied needs of their guests. In this book we have sought to open a window on today's highly innovative hotels by showcasing some particularly attractive examples from all over the world. All the hotels that we have gathered together are united by a quest for up-to-date design aimed at providing a welcome for business travelers or tourists.

El presente libro analiza las intervenciones efectuadas por el arquitecto Félix Hérnandez Giménez en los dólmenes de Matarrubilla, Cueva de La Pastora (Sevilla) y Zancarrón de Soto (Huelva) entre los años 1953 y 1964.

Mario Botta (1943 geboren) studierte in Venedig Architektur bei Carlo Scarpa und erffnete 1970 sein eigenes Bro in Lugano. Heute reicht seine Ttigkeit bis in die Vereinigten Staaten und den Fernen Osten. Weltberhmt geworden ist Mario Botta durch seine zahlreichen Villen im Tessin: khl-elegante Bauten, die, oft an exponierter Lage situiert, einen spannungsvollen Dialog mit der Landschaft aufnehmen. Es sind visuelle Gebilde von magischer Wirkung.
