This is an anthropological essay that studies social dynamics of Mexicos city from the perspective of its inhabitants. An analysis about the relationship of their everyday life with the history of the city is made from questionnaires and the exhibitions of images to a group of people- taxi drivers, traffic cops, deliverymen of goods, students, housewives, street sellers and middle class motorists.

Theoretical-critical texts on photographs taken by different authors and time periods, the violence of the documentary photography and a final reflection on the practice of photography and the possibilities of communication of images. Finally, this book is, as far as possible, provides a look again at the photograph made in Latin America, but trying to do so from the decolonized perspective, from a certain autonomy of thought, from the freedom of enunciation.ʺ (HKB Translation) Page 9.
