La Constitución de Cádiz y su legado han sido objeto de amplias discusiones a lo largo de estos dos siglos y se han formulado interpretaciones diversas y contradictorias, lo que hace necesario que a la luz de los interrogantes que formula la historiografía contemporánea, se analice la profunda inflexión que produjo en la cultura política de España, así como su impacto real y simbólico en algunos países de América Latina.
