First published in English as a title in Barron's Painless subject review series for middle school and high school students, Painless Algebra has now been translated to help students whose first language is Spanish. Algebra is often daunting to students when they are first introduced to the subject. In this book, the author eliminates confusion and creates interest by taking math details one step at a time, demonstrating that problem solving can be fun. A user-friendly first chapter presents algebraic terms and gives simple explanations for each of them. The following chapter instructs on the correct order of operations when solving problems. Next, students are introduced to integers, equations, exponents, roots and radicals, and quadratic equations. Each chapter contains fun-to-solve "brain tickler" problems with answers.
